Goliath came into our care with injuries no animal should ever have to endure. Both of his front legs had been broken, leaving him in severe pain and barely able to move.
Veterinary examinations revealed extensive damage to both legs. Without immediate treatment, Goliath risked permanent problems with his mobility, so surgery could not wait.
He underwent a complex operation on both front legs to repair the damage and give him the best possible chance to walk normally again.
But surgery was only the beginning. Goliath now faces a long and delicate recovery. His bones need time to heal, and he will require regular veterinary checkups, pain management, physical therapy, and carefully controlled activity.
Despite everything he has endured, Goliath remains incredibly gentle and trusting. He still seeks affection, wags his tail, and wants nothing more than to be close to the people caring for him.
Someone caused Goliath tremendous pain. Now we have the chance to show him something different — kindness, safety, and a life where he never has to be afraid again.
Goliath has already taken the first step. With continued treatment and rehabilitation, we hope the next ones will be on four strong paws.
