Leo has already survived more than most cats ever should. He was rescued in extremely poor condition after spending a long time without the medical care he desperately needed.
Veterinary testing revealed several serious infections and health complications. Leo was diagnosed with feline leukemia virus (FeLV), along with other viral illnesses that had severely weakened his immune system.
But the most serious diagnosis was FIP — feline infectious peritonitis. The disease had already begun affecting his overall health and his eyes, making immediate treatment essential.
Leo started an intensive course of therapy and has been fighting ever since. His treatment requires daily medication, regular veterinary examinations, blood work, and close monitoring to make sure he continues responding.
Despite everything his body has been through, Leo continues to fight. His condition requires ongoing medical care, and there is still a long road ahead before his treatment and recovery are complete.
Leo has a real chance to overcome this illness and finally experience the safe, comfortable life he has never had.
