Daisy was found in the spring of 2026 near a busy road. She could barely move, her tiny body was trembling, and every now and then she would lift her head and let out a faint meow. Passersby moved her to a safe spot and reached out for help.
Daisy was quickly taken to a veterinary clinic, where an exam and X-rays revealed a serious spinal injury and severe swelling. She had no deep pain sensation in her hind legs, so her prognosis was uncertain.
To stabilize her spine, relieve the pressure, and give Daisy the best possible chance at recovery, the veterinary team decided that surgery was necessary.
Unfortunately, Daisy never regained the use of her back legs. She now requires some extra care and assistance twice a day, but that hasn't stopped her from enjoying life.
Daisy gets around confidently on her front legs, plays with the other cats, has a great appetite, and loves curling up on soft, cozy beds.
Today, Daisy is living a happy and fulfilling life. Every day, she reminds us that animals with special needs can thrive with the right care, patience, and love. They can play, connect, and enjoy life just like any other pet.
